Teknologi jajar legowo diyakini dapat meningkatkan produksi namun Tingkat adopsinya masih rendah karena dianggap sulit dilakukan akibat bertambahnya populasi sehingga menambah waktu, tenaga kerja dan biaya tanam. Dilain pihak dampak perubahan iklim dan ketersediaan tenaga kerja menjadi faktor pembatas. Untuk mengatasi hal itu, Badan Litbang pertanian telah membuat Indo jarwo rice transplanter. Penerapan teknologi harus didukung oleh kesiapan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan indo jarwo transplanter oleh operator dengan tingkat keahlian yang berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan di lokasi Taman Teknologi Pertanian Batui, Kabupaten Banggai, Sulawesi Tengah pada bulan Juli 2016. Pengamatan dibedakan dalam dua kategori operator yaitu operator terlatih (Teknisi BPTP Sulawesi Tengah) dan operator yang belum terlatih (Petani). Pengamatan untuk masing – masing kategori dilakukan pada tiga petakan sebagai ulangan. Parameter yang diamati berupa jumlah batang tertanam per rumpun, jumlah anakan dan jumlah total batang per rumpun, jarak dalam barisan, jarak antar barisan, jarak legowo serta missing hill. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisa menggunakan stastistik deskriptif sederhana berupa rata-rata, nilai maksimum dan nilai minimum serta nilai error. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah bibit per rumpun berkisar antara 2-4 batang. Jarak antar barisan dan jarak legowo dalam satu set lebar kerja alat telah sesuai dengan jarak tanam legowo 2:1, namun untuk jarak legowo antar set lebar kerja alat dan jarak tanam dalam barisan belum sesuai dengan kriteria jarak tanam jarwo. Besarnya error tergantung pada desain alat dan tingkat keahlian operator. Besarnya nilai missing hill tergantung pada tingkat keahlian operator dalam persiapan pembibitan dan pengoperasian alat tanam
Abstract
The technology of Legowo “double row spacing” was believed can increase production but the adoption was still low because it was difficult in application due to the increasing of population thereby increasing the time, labour and cost of planting. On the other hand, the impact of climate change and the availability of labour become the limiting factor. To overcome this, the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development had made Indo Jarwo rice transplanter. Application of technology must be supported by the readiness of human resources. This study aimed to evaluate the use of Indo Jarwo transplanter by different skill levels of operators. The study was conducted at the site of Agricultural Technology Park Batui, Banggai Regancy, Central Sulawesi in July 2016. Observations are divided into two categories operator, i.e. trained operators (Technician of BPTP Central Sulawesi) and untrained operator (Farmers). Observations for each category performed on three plots as replication. The parameters were the number of planted stems per hill, the distance in rows, the distance between rows, legowo spacing and missing hill. The data were analysed using descriptive statistical such as average, maximum and minimum and an error. The results showed that the number of seedlings per hill ranges between 2-4 stems. The distance between rows and space of legowo in a working width had been in accordance with the spacing of legowo 2:1, but for the the space of legowo between sets of working width was not in accordance with the spacing of legowo 2:1. The value of error depends on the design of equipment and the skill of the operator. The value of the missing hills dependent on operator skill seeding and the operation of the rice transplanter
