Abstract
ABSTRACT Observational Yield Trial of Some RTV Resistant Rice Promising Lines. Experiment was carried out in the experimental farm of Tungro Disease Research Station at Lanrang, South Sulawesi. A total of 150 F, promising lines selected from field screening were tested to see their phenotypic character and yield potential. The trials were arranged in an augmented design consisted of six blocks and four check varieties, namely IR64, Ciliwung, Tukad Unda, and Tukad Petanu. Each block consisted of 29 plots with 1 m x 5 m in size. The tested lines were planted in 20 cm x 20 cm planting distance, one seedling per hill. The crops were fertilized with urea, SP36, KCl, and ZA, at the rate of 250 kg, 100 kg, 100 kg, and 50 kg per ha, respectively. Urea was applied twice, at planting time and 30-40 days after planting, whereas SP36, KCI and ZA were applied once at the time of planting. Results of the experiment indicated that 29 lines yielded significantly higher than IR64. Nine lines out of 29 lines having yield potential ranged 5-6 t/ha. These lines were BP3744A-1-102-LRG-3-4-2-2-6, BP3770A-1-219-LRG-3-5-2-8, BP3846A-11-455-LRG-2-7-2-9, BP3866A-3-1192-LRG-5-5-2-3, BP3764A-3-186-LRG-9-8-1-8, BP3770A-1-LRG-220-4-4-2-7, BP3864A-2-1108-LRG-9-7-2-6, BP3870A-1-1327-LRG-2-2-1-7, BP3880A-6-LRG-1544-8-1-1-7. The performance of the lines were: 50% of the flowering stage was at about 80 DAP, plant height were 77-115 cm, panicle numbers were 8-18 per hill, panicle lengths were 21-29 cm, and 1000 grain weight of 17-32.5 g. Stem and leaf are upright, leaf blade and stem are green in color, ligula and auricle are colorless, and the leaf surface is generally rough. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Loka Penelitian Penyakit Tungro (Lolittungro) Lanrang. Sebanyak 150 galur harapan F tahan tungro hasil skrining lapangan diuji karakter fenotipik dan potensi hasilnya dengan menggunakan rancangan Augmented. Rancangan terdiri atas enam blok dan empat varietas pembanding, yaitu IR64, Ciliwung, Tukad Unda, dan Tukad Petanu. Setiap blok terdiri atas 29 petak dengan ukuran 1 m x 5 m. Galur yang diuji ditanam dengan jarak tanam 20 cm x 20 cm, satu bibit tanaman per lubang. Tanaman dipupuk urea, SP36, KCl, dan ZA, dengan dosis berturut-turut 250 kg, 100 kg, 100 kg, dan 50 kg/ha. Pemupukan urea dilakukan 2 kali yaitu saat tanam dan saat 30-40 hari setelah tanam (HST), sedangkan SP36, KCI, dan ZA diberikan satu kali, yaitu pada saat tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 29 galur yang hasilnya berbeda nyata dengan IR64. Dari 29 BP3744A-1-102-LRG-3-4-2-2-6, BP3770A-1-219-LRG-3-5-2-8, BP3846A-11-455-LRG-2-7-2-9, BP3866A-3-1192-LRG-5-5-2-3, dan BP3880A-6-1544-LRG-8-1-1-7. Umur 50% berbunga sekitar 80 hari, tinggi tanaman 77-115 cm, jumlah malai 8-18 malai per rumpun, panjang malai 21-29 cm, dan berat 1.000 biji 17-32,5 g. Bentuk batang dan posisi daun tegak, warna helaian daun dan warna batang hijau, lidah daun dan telinga daun tidak berwarna, serta permukaan daun umumnya kasar.
