dc.description | Plant spacing, the number of seeds planted, and depth of planting are factors that need to be considered in the cultivation of paddy, maize, and soybean with an intercropping system, especially on dry land. Intercropping system require, optimal spacing (population) to reduce competition between plants for light, nutrients, and water that can reduce crop yields. A pneumatic seeder is a seed planter, which is pulled by a four-wheel tractor with the working principle by utilizing the wheel rotation of the implement and the rotation of the power take-off (PTO) from a tractor to extract seeds that comes out from the metering device precisely with a pneumatic system. The purpose of this research was to determine the performance and planting quality of pneumatic seeder. The test results showed the average theoretical field capacity of pneumatic seeder in the paddy - maize intercropping system of 0.82 ha/hr and the average effective field capacity of 0.70 ha/hr with field efficiency of 85.48%, while the average theoretical field capacity in the paddy-soybean intercropping system was 0.87 ha/hr and the average effective field capacity of 0.76 ha/hr, and the field efficiency of 87.90%. Oil fuel consumption for the paddy-maize intercropping system of 14.13 lt/hrand the paddy-soybean intercropping system of 13.41 lt/hr. The percentage of the missing hill for paddy - maize intercropping systems were 4.14% for paddy and 5.28% for maize. While the percentage of the missing hill for paddy-soybean intercropping systems were 3.98% for paddy and 4.52% for soybean.UJI KINERJA MESIN PENANAM PNEUMATIK PADA SISTEM TANAM TUMPANG SARIAbstrakPengaturan jarak tanam, jumlah benih tertanam, dan kedalaman tanam merupakan faktor yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam budidaya padi, jagung, dan kedelai dengan sistem tanam tumpang sari khususnya pada lahan kering. Sistem tanam tumpang sari memerlukan pengaturan jarak tanam (populasi) yang optimal untuk mengurangi persaingan antar tanaman terhadap cahaya, hara dan air yang dapat mengurangi hasil tanaman. Mesin penanam pneumatik merupakan suatu mesin penanam benih yang ditarik traktor roda empat dimana prinsip kerjanya dengan memanfaatkan putaran roda mesin dan putaran power take-off (PTO) dari traktor untuk mengeluarkan benih dari bagian penakar benih secara presisi dengan sistem pneumatik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja dan kualitas tanam dari mesin penanam pneumatik. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kapasitas lapang teoritis untuk mesin penanam pneumatik pada sistem tanam tumpang sari padi gogo-jagung sebesar 0,82 ha/jam dan kapasitas lapang efektif sebesar 0,70 ha/jam dengan efisiensi lapang 85,48%, sedangkan pada sistem tanam tumpang sari padi gogo-kedelai diperoleh kapasitas lapang teoritis sebesar 0,87 ha/jam dan kapasitas lapang efektif sebesar 0,76 ha/jam dengan efisiensi lapang 87,90%. Konsumsi bahan bakar solar sebesar 14,13 liter/jam pada sistem tanam tumpang sari padi gogo-jagung dan 13,41 liter/jam pada sistem tanam tumpang sari padi gogo-kedelai. Persentase jumlah lubang tidak tertanami pada sistem tanam tumpang sari padi gogo-jagung yaitu 4,14% untuk tanaman padi dan 5,28% untuk tanaman jagung. Sedangkan persentase jumlah lubang tidak tertanami pada sistem tanam tumpang sari padi gogo-kedelai yaitu 3,98% untuk tanaman padi dan 4,52% untuk tanaman kedelai. | en-US |
