Abstract
Agriculture is the sector affected by climate change. The impact of climate change on agriculture sector is multidimensional, ranging from resources, agricultural infrastructure, and systems agricultural production, to the aspects of food security and independence, as well as the welfare of farmers and the community at large. Common strategies and policies for countering climate change impacts to agriculture is an adaptation action program in the food crops and horticulture sectors as the main priority in order to increase production and maintain national food security. Adaptive activities in dealing with climate change synchronized with mitigation activities include application of rice varieties with high productivity, application of animal manure as an energy through the biogas installation and application of organic fertilizer as carbon sequestration. However, there was activities that can be synchronized between adaptation and mitigation action such as application of rice varieties with high productivity, application of animal manure as an energy through the biogas installation and application of organic fertilizer as carbon sequestration. Then, regarding on the emissions projection, the emissions status from agriculture sector will continue to increase following the increases of agriculture activity to fulfil the demand.
