Abstract
Abstrak Mekanisasi pertanian memainkan peran krusial dalam transformasi sistem usaha tani padi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, efisiensi kerja, dan mengatasi kelangkaan tenaga kerja di sektor pertanian. Penelitian/artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak penerapan teknologi mekanisasi—mulai dari tahap pengolahan tanah (tractor), penanaman (transplanter), hingga pemanenan (combine harvester)—terhadap efisiensi biaya operasional dan hasil panen padi. Metode yang digunakan adalah [sebutkan metode, misal: studi literatur/survei lapangan] untuk menganalisis perbandingan antara metode tradisional dan mekanis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan mekanisasi secara signifikan mempercepat waktu kerja, mengurangi kehilangan hasil (losses) saat panen, serta meningkatkan pendapatan petani secara keseluruhan. Meskipun demikian, adopsi mekanisasi masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan modal, ketersediaan suku cadang, dan topografi lahan yang tidak seragam. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan kebijakan berupa kemudahan akses alokasi alsintan dan pelatihan bagi petani guna mengoptimalkan keberlanjutan usaha tani padi. Abstract Agricultural mechanization plays a crucial role in transforming the rice farming system to enhance productivity, labour efficiency, and address labour shortages in the agricultural sector. This study aims to examine the impact of adopting mechanization technologies—ranging from land preparation (tractors) and planting (transplanters) to harvesting (combine harvesters)—on operational cost efficiency and rice yields. A [insert method, e.g., literature review / field survey] approach was utilized to analyse the comparison between traditional and mechanized farming practices. The findings reveal that the application of mechanization significantly accelerates field operations, reduces post-harvest losses, and increases overall farmers' income. Nevertheless, the adoption of mechanization still faces challenges, including capital constraints, limited availability of spare parts, and non-uniform land topographies. Consequently, strategic policy support is required, including improved access to agricultural machinery allocation and capacity-building training for farmers, to optimize the sustainability of rice farming systems.
