Abstract
This research aims to discuss about the influences of training and training motivation towards work skills.
It is used and quantitative research with regression models. This research used data primary and secondary
data. Data collected by observation, interview and spreading questionare to 73 THL employees on PPMKP
Ciawi Bogor. Analysis data used path analysis with a single path. The result of this research is training has
positive and significant influence towards work skills with coefficient values 0,745. Motivation has positive
and significant influence towards work skills with with coefficient value 0,416. PPMKP Ciawi should further
develop the provision of training consisting of On The Job Training which can provide job rotation, work
practices and get better job guidance, and Off The Job Training which provides workshops, classroom
training, and time periods for each training so that can improve employee work skills at work, further
enhance work skills to employees in completing their work for example by increasing their knowledge,
skills and attitudes in order to meet work standards in the organization, further improving employee
performance in organizations that consist of completing work in accordance with the standard time set by
the organization, the work is completed with the utmost care and accuracy, and the service is in
accordance with the target organization. The researcher suggests that other researchers conduct further
research with the same object but the research variables are different from the variables used in this study.
Thus, PPMKP Ciawi has sufficient references in order to improve employee performance through improving
work skills.
