Abstract
This study aims to determine the direct effect of the work environment on employee performance and the indirect effect of mediating motivational variables. The sample in this study were 106 permanent employee s of PPMKP Ciawi using the stratified proportional sampling method specification. The data analysis technique used is an analysis based on the Structural Equational Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that there is a direct positive and significant effect of the work environment on employee performance. From this research, it was also found that motivation significantly mediates the direct influence of the work environment on employee performance. The implication of the findings in this study is for the company to continue to take action regarding the importance of the Work Environment. Involving employees in making decisions will make employees feel more like they are part of the company. Always open opportunities for employees to show their potential, maintain good relations with fellow employees and superiors to create a conducive work environment and encourage work motivation.
