dc.description.abstractAbstract Farming Analysis of Several Upland Rice Varieties Grown under Different Planting System in Central Lampung District. The assessment was conducted at Buyut Udik Village, Gunung Sugih Sub-district, Central Lampung District during the wet season of 2008/2009 involving a total of 6 farmers with total of 3 ha dry land. The objective of this assessment was to evaluate the financial feasibility of cropping several varieties of upland rice grown under some methods of planting, the in-row planting (legowo), squared-planting, integrated crop management (ICM), and farmer practice (non-ICM). Duta collected and analyses were the farmer's income and the R/C ratio. Results of this assessment indicated that the legowo 2:1 planting system increased the rice yield and the income of the farmers. Total production cost in the legowo 2:1 planting system was 2.4% higher than that of in the squared-planting system, but the profit was 15.92% higher. Both the leg squared-planting systems were feasible, with their R/C values of legowo 2: 1 and the 1.91 and 1.78, respectively. The rice crops managed through ICM increased front by 65.57%. Both cropping systems indicated the R/C valour of 1.84 and 1.38 for the ICM and the non-ICM planting systems, respectively. Abstrak Pengkajian dilaksanakan di Desa Buyut Udik, Kecamatan Gurang Sugih, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah pada MH 2008/2009 melibatkan 6 orang petani kooperator, dengan total luas lahan 3 ha. Tujuan pengkajian ini adalah untuk usahatani beberapa varietas padi gogo dengan sistern tanam legowo menganalisis kelayakan 2:1, sistern tanam tegel, pengelolaan tanaman terpadu (PTT), dan pengelolaan tanaman petani (non-PTT). Data yang dikumpulkan dan dianalisis meliputi pendapatan usahatani dan rasio R/C Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa sistem tanam legowo 2:1 dapat meningkatkan produksi padi gogo dan pendapatan petani. Total biaya pada sistem legowo 2: 1 adalah 2.4% lebih tinggi dari total biaya pada sistem tanam tegel, tetapi keuntungan yang diperoleh pada sistem legowo 2:1 sebesar Rp616000 (15,92%) lebih besar dibanding keuntungan yang diperoleh pada sistem tanam tegel yang ditunjukkan di kedua sistem tanam sebesar 1,91 dan 1,78, berturut-turut untuk sistem tanam legowo 2:1 dan sistem tanam tegel. Ini berarti bahwa secara finansial kedua sistem tanam layak untuk diusahakan oleh petani. Pertanaman padi gogo yang dikelola melalui pengelolaan tanaman terpadu (PTT) memberikan keuntungan 65.57% lebih tinggi dari keuntungan usahatani padi non-PTT, meskipun biaya produksi pertanaman padi gogo yang dikelola melalui PTT, lebih tinggi sebesar 23.96% daripada biaya pada pertanaman non-PTT. Pertanaman padi gogo yang dikelola melalui PTT dan non-PTT menunjukkan nilai R/C berturut-turut sebesar 1,84 dan 1.38.
