APLIKASI FORMULASI PUPUK SERTA PENAMBAHAN KOMPOS JERAMI TERHADAP PRODUKSI CABAI MERAH (Capsicum annuum L.)

dc.descriptionABSTRACT One of the prospective vegetable commodities in Indonesia is a red chili (Capsicum annuum L.). Various efforts have been made both by the government and farmers, including how to provide and formulate appropriate organic and inorganic fertilizers as an effort to increase red chili yields. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of inorganic, organic or second combination fertilizers in liquid form and the addition of straw compost in the initial generative phase to increase red chili yields. This study took place at the Bogor STPP experimental field, which was held in May-November 2017. The experiment was arranged in a nested design consisting of B0 = without the addition of straw compost (control) and B1 = addition of 10 tons of straw compost/ha, and repeated 3 replications. Treatment factors consist of N0 = NPK fertilizer (16:16:16) solid dose 1000 kg/ha, N1 = NPK fertilizer (16:16:16) liquid dose 1000 kg/ha, N2 = liquid manure dose 10 tons/ha, N3 = combination of NPK fertilizer (16:16:16) liquid dose 500 kg/ha+liquid manure fertilizer dose 5 tons/ha, and N4 = combination of NPK fertilizer (16:16:16) liquid dose 500 kg/ha+gandasil D/B 1 g/l. The variables observed included plant height, canopy wet weight, root wet weight, flowering time, harvesting time, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit number and per plant. The addition of straw compost in the initial phase of generative growth will increase the canopy wet weight, diameter and fruit length, as well as the fruit number and per and fruit weight per plant. Application of 500 kg/ha fertilizer formulation+liquid D/B (N4) solution is best for increasing canopy and root wet weight and fruit number and fruit weight per plant. Correlation analysis showed that the addition of plant height, fruit diameter and fruit number and the faster harvesting time would increase production per plant.ABSTRAKSalah satu komoditas sayuran yang prospektif di Indonesia adalah cabai merah (Capsicum annuum L.). Berbagai upaya dilakukan baik oleh pemerintah maupun petani, termasuk cara pemberian dan memformulasikan pupuk organik serta anorganik yang tepat sebagai upaya peningkatan produksi cabai merah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mempelajari pengaruh pemberian pupuk anorganik, organik atau kombinasi kedua pupuk tersebut dalam bentuk cair serta penambahan kompos jerami pada fase awal generatif terhadap peningkatan produktivitas cabai merah. Penelitian ini bertempat di lahan percobaan STPP Bogor, yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-November 2017. Percobaan disusun dalam Rancangan Petak Tersarang (nested design) yang terdiri dari B0 = tanpa penambahan kompos jerami (kontrol) dan B1 = penambahan kompos jerami 10 ton/ha, dan diulang 3 ulangan. Faktor perlakuan terdiri atas N0 = pupuk NPK (16:16:16) padat dosis 1000 kg/ha, N1 = pupuk NPK (16:16:16) cair dosis 1000 kg/ha, N2= pupuk kandang cair dosis 10 ton/ha, N3 = kombinasi pupuk NPK (16:16:16) cair dosis 500 kg/ha + pupuk kandang cair dosis 5 ton/ha, dan N4 = kombinasi pupuk NPK (16:16:16) cair dosis 500 kg/ha + gandasil D/B 1g/l. Peubah yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, bobot basah tajuk, bobot basah akar, umur berbunga, umur panen, panjang buah, diameter buah, jumlah buah dan produksi per tanaman. Penambahan kompos jerami pada fase awal pertumbuhan generatif akan meningkatkan bobot basah tajuk, diameter dan panjang buah cabai, serta jumlah buah dan produksi per tanaman cabai merah. Aplikasi formulasi pupuk 500 kg/ha + gandasil D/B cair (N4)) adalah terbaik untuk peningkatan bobot basah tajuk dan akar serta jumlah buah dan produksi per tanaman cabai merah. Analisis korelasi memperlihatkan bahwa penambahan tinggi tanaman, diameter buah dan jumlah buah serta umur panen yang semakin cepat pada tanaman cabai merah, akan meningkatkan produksi per tanaman. en-US
