Abstract
Climate variability within Indonesian region is the most important issues for climate prediction. In case of the obvious fluctuations occurred diagnostic study could be applied to improve knowledge on local atmospheric circulation, and how it interrelated to broader atmospheric circulation, and its impact on rainfall distribution over the region. One dominant factor in shaping climate over Indonesia is monsoon. El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) that activate walker circulation, blocking easterly wind, and can be seen as a disturbance of normal atmospheric circulation that creates rainfall anomaly in most of the Indonesian region. The impact of ENSO is not uniform throughout Indonesian region. In general, eastern Indonesian rainfall deviation during ENSO year is larger compared to the western part of Indonesia. The onset of rainy season is delayed in eastern part of Indonesia, and this could not be observed in Tamanbogo station, as it represent western part of Indonesia. ยท
