| dc.description.abstract | Abstract Heterosis Evaluation of New Hybrid Rice Lines Derived from the Chineses Cytoplasmic Male Sterile. An observational yield trial to evaluate the heterosis of 400 new rice hybrid lines derived from the Chineses cytoplasmic male sterile was conducted in Sukamandi and Muara Experimental Stations, Indonesian Center for Rice Research during the second cropping season (CS-2) 2008. These 400 new rice hybrid hybrids breeding lines were compared to six standard rice varieties arranged in an augmented design with six blocks of 100 plots each. Although the adjusted yields of the 10 new hybrid rice lines was greater than the yield of the highest check, Ciherang, none of these higher yields were significant statistically. Results of the trial indicated that a total of 21 new hybrid rice lines with the yield ranged from 7.63 t/ha to 15.20 t/ha, were selected from the trial carried out in the Sukamandi Experimental Station. The yields of 13 hybrid rice lines were significantly higher than that of Maro and 8 hybrid rice lines reached the heterosis of 42.0-110.8% which was higher as compared to that of Ciherang. Meanwhile, a total of 29 new hybrid rice lines were selected from the trial carried out in Muara yielded 5.80-8.80 t/ha. The yields of 9 hybrid rice lines was significantly higher than that of Ciherang, in which five new hybrid rice lines reached the heterosis of 21.30-57.60% which were higher than the best check, Maro. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat heterosis sejumlah hibrida baru padi turunan galur mandul jantan asal China telah dilaksanakan di KP Sukamandi dan Muara, Balai Besar Penelitian Tanaman Padi pada MT-2/2008. Sebanyak 400 padi hibrida dan enam varietas pembanding yaitu Maro, Rokan, Segara Anak, Bernas Super, Bernas Prima, dan Ciherang ditanam dalam rancangan Augmented yang terbagi dalam enam ok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa dari penelitian di KP Sukamandi terpilih sebanyak 21 hibrida baru dengan kisaran hasil 7,6-15,2 t/ha. Sebanyak 13 hibrida nyata memiliki produktivitas lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Maro, delapan diantaranya menunjukkan heterosis 42-110,8% lebih tinggi dibandingkan Ciherang dengan hasil tertinggi yang berkisar antara 8,8-15,2 t/ha. Dari penelitian di Muara, terpilih sebanyak 29 hibrida dengan kisaran hasil 5,8-8,8 t/ha. Sebanyak sembilan hibrida menghasilkan gabah nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan Ciherang, lima hibrida diantaranya menunjukkan hasil 21,3-57,6% lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Maro. Galur mandul jantan HTP 20 menurunkan F, hibrida terpilih terbanyak dibandingkan dengan galur mandul jantan asal China yang lain. | |
