dc.descriptionABSTRACTNutmeg is a specific superior commodity of Mollucas region besides cloves, which is expected to contribute economically to the region, more specifically to the farming community in order to increase income and welfare. The production of nutmeg is influenced by factors such as growing requirements, plant seeds, spacing, maintenance, plant population and plant life. the Mollucas Planting pattern used by farmers to cultivate nutmeg plants is quite diverse. There are only planting nutmeg monoculture but there are also farmers who use a mixed cropping pattern called dusung. Cultivation by the people of Mollucas with the dusung system can affect the yield of the nutmeg plants. The purpose of this study was to study the correlation between the growth of plant height with the number of branches, the diameter of the stem against the production of nutmeg directly and indirect effect. The method used is survey method. Sampling was done by randomized stratified method (Stratified random Sampling). The results showed that the district of West Seram the number of fruit is affected by plant height and number of branches, Central Mollucas district, the amount of fruit is influenced by plant height and stem diameter.ABSTRAKPala merupakan komoditi spesifik unggulan daerah Maluku selain cengkih, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi ekonomi bagi daerah, lebin khusus kepada masyarakat tani dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraannya. Produksi pala dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor seperti syarat tumbuh, bibit tanaman, jarak tanam, pemeliharaan, populasi tanaman dan umur tanaman. Dimaluku Pola tanam yang digunakan oleh petani untuk mengusahakan tanaman pala cukup beragam. Ada yang hanya menanam pala secara monokultur tetapi ada juga petani yang menggunakan pola tanam campuran yang disebut dusung. Pertanaman yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat maluku dengan sistem dusung tersebut dapat mempengaruhi_ hasil dari tanaman pala. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari korelasi antara pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dengan jumlah cabang, diameter batang terhadap produksi buah pala berpengaruh langsung dan pengaruh tidak langsung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode acak berlapis (Stratified random Sampling). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat jumlah buah dipengaruhi oleh tinggi tanaman dan jumlah cabang, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah jumlah buah dipengaruhi oleh tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang.en-US
