| dc.description.abstract | In farming systems research (FSR) we customarily consider that farmer’s resources vary and that the production activities of farmers also vary. Farming systems research is like farming -- different research programs have different resources and often different goals. Therefore, the methods they use to "produce" technology should also vary. To choose appropriate research methods, a FSR program should be clear about its goals. At least three different goals appear to have been chosen by various FSR programs in Asia. | |
