Verifikasi Metode Hazton Dalam Upaya Mendukung Peningkatan Produksi Padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di KP Sukamandi, wilayah pertanaman padi yang berada di Pantai Utara (Pantura) dengan ketinggian tempat sekitar 16 m dpl. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memverifikasi metoda Hazton pada sistem pertanaman padi dan menyempurnakan metoda Hazton. Verifikasi Penelitian dilakukan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok. Pada MT-1 (MH 2014/2015, perlakuan terdiri dari 3 perlakuan Hazton dan 1 perlakuan PTT sebagai pembanding. Tiap perlakuan diulang 3 kali, masing-masing perlakuan dengan luas plot 30m x10m. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara visual penampilan vegetatif awal pertanaman hazton menunjukkan morfologi pertumbuhan vegetatif yang baik, namun demikian kondisi ini menyebabkan perkembangan OPT yang lebih kondusif dengan iklim mikro di sekeliling tanaman. Jumlah anakan per rumpun pada model Hazton mulai menurun pada umur 15 hst, sebaliknya pada model PTT terjadi peningkatan jumlah anakan sampai umur 43 - 50 hst (model PTT), selanjutnya jumlah anakan per rumpun menurun. Pada metode Hazton jumlah malai per rumpun dan bobot gabah isi 1000 butir tinggi, tetapi malainya pendek, jumlah gabah isi per malai rendah dan persentase gabah isi juga rendah. Berdasarkan hasil panen pada MT-1 2014/2015 di KP Sukamandi menunjukkan bahwa produksi metode Hazton 4,36 t/ha dan PTT 4,86 t/ha.
Abstract
The Verification of Hazton Method to support the increasing rice production. The experiment was conducted at Sukamandi research station, representing of rice cropping in the northern coast of java with altitude of 16 m above sea level. The objective of this study was to verificates and improves a Hazton method on rice cropping system. Verification study was conducted by randomized block design. In the planting season-1 (Wet Season 2014/2015) Sukamandi research station by treatment consists of 3 Hazton treatments and 1 ICM treatment as a comparison. Each treatments was replicated 3 times, each treatments with a plot size of 30m x 10m. The result was showed that the Hazton model has showed a good vegetative growth, however, thus condition causes the a good microclimate for the pest. Number of tillers per hill at the Hazton model was decreased at the age of 15 DAP, in contrary to the model of ICM were increased at number of tillers until age 43-50 DAP (ICM), then the decreased of number of tillers per hill. The Hazton model, number of panicles per hill and filled grains of 1000 grain weight was high, but the panicle was short, the number of filled grains per panicle was low and so the percentage of filled grain was low too. Based on harvest production on Wet season 2014/2015 was showed by Sukamandi Reseacrh Station that the Hazton produced 4,36 t/h and ICM produced 4,86 t/h.
