Abstract
The future state of Indonesian agriculture is oriented towards the interests of the agricultural industry. One of its forms is that it is increasingly directed towards a monoculture agricultural model that is oriented towards yielding similar and abundant products. Under these conditions, various problems including the problem of plant pests and diseases that are unknown or have been a problem in the past, can become inhibiting factors, both the quantity and quality of agricultural products produced, so solutions must be provided to solve them. Integrated Pest Management is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management, so that it can be applied in agricultural cultivation activities and in harmony with a sustainable agricultural development system. "Sustainable" means managing existing resources for sustainable use and minimizing adverse consequences. In sustainable agriculture, the use of pesticides can be done wisely and responsibly.
