dc.descriptionABSTRAKKebutuhan konsumsi protein hewani terus mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan bertambahnya populasi penduduk Indonesia. Kebutuhan protein hewani dapat terpenuhi salah satunya dari ternak kerbau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi keuntungan peternak kerbau rakyat di Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Multistage Random Sampling. Responden adalah peternak kerbau diambil secara acak sebanyak 60 responden. Metode pengambilan data yaitu metode observasi dan wawancara langsung kepada peternak. Metode analisis data adalah analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Alat uji statistik yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata pendapatan peternak kerbau sebesar Rp 9.707.934,778. Faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi keuntungan peternak adalah biaya pakan.Kata kunci: faktor produksi, keuntungan, peternak, kerbau ABSTRACTThe need for animal protein consumption continues to increase in line with the increasing population of Indonesia. One of the animal protein needs can be met from buffalo. This study aims to determine the production factors that affect the profits of smallholder buffalo farmers in Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The research method used is a survey method. The sampling technique in this study used the Multistage Random Sampling Method. Respondents are buffalo breeders taken randomly as many as 60 respondents. The method of data collection is the method of observation and direct interviews with farmers. The data analysis method is descriptive and quantitative analysis. The statistical test tool used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the average income of buffalo farmers was Rp. 9,707,934,778. The production factor that affects the farmer's profit is the cost of feed.Key words: production factor, profit, farmer, buffalo,en-US
