    PENGARUH CARA PENGENDALIAN GULMA TERHADAP HASIL UBI ALABIO DI LAHAN RAWA LEBAK TENGAHAN KALIMANTANSELATAN

    Effect of weed control on yield of Ubi Alabioat medium deep swampland in South Kalimantan. The aim of the experiment wa's to study the effect of weed control methods on yield of ubi Alabio (Dioscorea alata L), conducted at Babirik, Hulu Sungai Selatan on the dry season 1994. The treatments consisted of nine weed control methods i,e; (a) weeding 1x at 30 days after planted, (b) weeding 2x at 30 and 60 days after planted, (c) mulch 2 tlha, (d) herbicide Piperophos 2,4-0 IPE, (e) herbicide Metolachlor, (f) herbicide Piperophos 2,4-0 IPE + weeding 1x at 30 days after planted, (g) herbicide Piperophos 2,4-0 IPE + mulch 2 tlha, (h) herbicide Metolachlor+weeding 1x at30 days after planted, and U) herbicide Metolachlor + mulch 2,5 tlha + weeding 1x at 30 days after planted, The experiment arranged in RCBO with three replications. The results of the experiment showed that weed control methods, was not significantly effect tuber yield, but signicifant to percentage weed cloths grade and weed dry weight. The highest yield obtained by treatment of herbicide Piperophos 2,4-0 IPE + mulch 2 tlha at 3,93 kg/stick and the lowest yield by the treatment weeding 1x at 30 days after planted at 2,77 kg/stick, The highest weed dry weight by the treatment controled of mulch 2 tlha at 16,42 g/0,5 m2, and the lowest weed dry weight by the treatment controled of herbicide Metolachlor + mulch 2,5 tlha + weeding 1x at 30 days after planted at 7,52 g/0,5 m2,
