    HAMA PENYAKIT UTAMA PADA UBI NAGARA (Ipomoea hatatas) DI LAHAN LEBAK KALIMANTAN SELATAN

    Pest and diseases on Ubi Nagara (Ipomoea batatas) at swampy area in South Kalimantan. Observation of pests and diseases that attack sweet potato of "ubi Nagara" in swampy area was conducted in Nagara, Daha Selatan sub district, Hulu Sungai Selatan regency, on the dry season of 1994. The observation took place on plots that planted at different time, i.e : August 3, August 13, August 23 and September 2, 1994. The results indicated that the kind of pests and diseases that attack ubi Nagara were sweet potato leaf hopper, ulat keket, black sweet potato roller, grasshopper, sweet potato weevil, rat, scab and brown spot. The intensity of pests and diseases that attack stem and leaves still low (0-5%). The pests and diseases were not affected by planting time, the sweet potato weevil and rat that attack tubers was affected by planting time. The sweet potato weevil attacked on early planting, while rat attacked on late planting.
