ZarwaziAbstrak Peningkatan produksi padi menjadi prioritas pembangunan pertanian. Dengan adanya variasi sistem tanam dan banyaknya VUB padi yang telah dihasilkan BB Padi maka dirasa perlu kajian tentang sistem tanam jajar legowo dan VUB padi yang memberikan interaksi terbaik untuk meningkatkan produksi padi di NTB. Pengkajian interaksi sistem tanam jajar legowo dengan VUB dilakukan pada Musim Kemarau (MK) I bulan Mei-Agustus 2016 pada kelompok tani Lawoto Kelurahan Rabangodu Selatan Kecamatan Raba, Kota Bima, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Pengkajian ini bersifat action research di lahan petani yakni dengan melakukan demfarm seluas 3 ha. Pelaksanaan demfarm menerapkan Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu (PTT) menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok petak terpisah dengan 4 ulangan yaitu sistem tanam jajar legowo 2:1 dan 4:1 sebagai petak utama dan VUB padi (Inpari 10, Inpari 22, Inpari 30) sebagai anak petak. Pengamatan dilakukan pada keragaan agronomi, hasil, analisa usaha tani dan persepsi petani. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa sifat genetis VUB lebih dominan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan agronomi padi dibandingkan jarak tanam jajar legowo. Sistem tanam jajar legowo 2:1 memberikan keragaan hasil serta keuntungan usaha tani yang tidak berbeda nyata dengan jajar legowo 4:1. Persepsi petani pada sistem tanam jajar legowo sebesar 77,08 % dalam kategori setuju bahwa sistem jajar legowo mampu meningkatkan produktivitas, memudahkan pengelolaan serta layak secara ekonomi. Abstract Increasing rice production is a priority for agricultural development in Indonesia. Due to variation of planting systems and many new superior rice varieties that have been released by Indonesian Center for Rice Research (ICRR), it is necessary to study the legowo planting system and new superior rice varieties which gives the best interaction to increase rice production in West Nusa Tenggara. Study of the interaction between legowo planting system and new superior rice varieties was conducted in the dry season in May-August 2016 at the Lawoto farmer group in South Rabangodu, Raba, Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara Province. This study was action research in farmers’ field with demfarm area of 3 ha. Demfarm was applied Integrated Crop Management (ICM) with Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with split plot design with 4 replications where legowo 2:1 and 4:1 planting systems as main plot and new superior rice varieties (Inpari 10, Inpari 22, Inpari 30) as subplots. Observations were on agronomic performance, yield, farming system analysis and farmer adoption. The results show that the genetic characteristics of new superior rice varieties are more dominant in influencing the growth of rice agronomy compared to the legowo planting system. Legowo 2:1 planting system provides a result of yield and profit of farming which is not significantly different from legowo 4:1. Around 77.08% farmers agreed that legowo planting system could improve productivity, simple in management and economically feasible.
