    PENGARUH JARAK TANAM TERHADAP HASIL UBI ALABIO (Dioscorea alata) DI LAHAN RAWA LEBAK TENGAHAN KALIMANTAN SELATAN

    Luas lahan rawa di Indonesia sekitar 33,39 juta hektar, terdiri atas rawa pasang surut dan rawa non pasang surut atau rawa lebak. Lahan lebak berjumlah 13.28 juta ha, hampir 40% dari luas totallahan rawa (Widjaja-Adhi, et al., 1992). Sekitar 9.65 juta ha lahan rawa berpotensi untuk dijadikan lahan pertanian, dan sampai saat ini yang telah dimanfaatkan baru sekitar 1.30 juta hektar (Manwan et aI., 1992). Di Kalimantan Selatan luas lahan lebak sekitar 600.000 ha, sekitar 69.600 ha potensial untuk pertanian pangan, termasuk ubi-ubian (Noor dan Khairuddin, 1993) .. Tanaman ubi-ubian yang banyak dikembangkan di lahan lebak daerah Babirik Kalimantan Selatan dikenal dengan nama ubi Alabio. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ubi Alabio cukup layak dikembangkan karena sesuai dengan kondisi lahan lebak, dan berdasarkan analisis usaha tani diperoleh RJC ratio sebesar 3,9 dan dapat memberikan sumbangan terhadap pendapatan petani sebesar 46,9% (Noor et.al., 1993 Zuraida dan Galib, 1993). Salah satu dari jenis-jenis ubi Alabio yang banyak dibudidayakan di daerah Babirik diketahui adalah ubi Kelapa (Dioscorea a/ata L), termasuk dalam ordo Dioscorealis, famili Dioscoreceae (Martin, 1975).

    PENGARUH UMUR PANEN TERHADAP HASIL UBI NAGARA (Ipomoea batatas) DI LAHAN RAWA LEBAK TENGAHAN KALIMANTAN SELATAN

    The effect of harvest time on yield of ubi Nagara (Ipomoea batatas) at medium deep swampland, South Kalimantan. Quality of Ubi Nagara tuber affected by harvest time and intensities of tuber damaged caused by pest (hama boleng) or (Cy/as sp) attacked. The study conducted at Habirau, Daha Sub District, South Kalimantan in wet season 1994. Variety of Kiyai Baru was planted at 1 x 1 m space. The trial used Randomized complete block design, with five replications. Five harvest time were tested i.e. 1) 90 days after planting, 2) 100 days after planting, 3) 110 days after planting, 4) 120 days after planting, and 5) 130 days after planting. Basal fertlizers were 90 kg N/ha, 60 kg P205/ha, and 60 kg K2/ha, represented by Urea, TSP and KCI respectively. The parameters observed were: weight of wet tuber, amount, length, diameter, and yield of tubers. Ubi Nagara can be harvested at 120 days after planting, and the highest yield of 46,13 tlha obtained at 130 days after planting. Less intensity of pest (Cy/as sp) attacked to Ubi Nagara tuber.
