Keragaman Genetik Beberapa Aksesi Padi Rawa Berdasarkan Marka STS Spesifik Subspesies
(KOMISI NASIONAL SUMBER DAYA GENETIK, 2021-09-15) Auliauzzakia ...[at al], Irna; Balai Besar Penelitian dan Pengembangan Bioteknologi dan Sumberdaya Genetik Pertanian
Wide areas of peatland agro-ecosystem in Indonesia would be potential to be used as agricultural land, especially as an alternative solution to the constraints of converting fertile and productive agricultural land into industrial and residential areas. The genetic materials used in present study was 24 rice plants consisted of 16 swamp rice cultivars and nine subspecies of rice containing three cultivars of each japonica, javanica, and indica. The genetic diversity analysis of the rice samples was analyzed using 8 STS markers. The results showed that the genetic similarity coefficient ranged from 0.21 to 0.95. Based on the culstering analysis, two swamp rice cultivars, namely PR40 and PR95, had the closest relationship with the Japonica group and three cultivars, such as PR14, PR28, and PR29, had the closest relationship with Javanica type. While, the ramaining nine cultivars, such as PR3, PR23, PR27, PR48, PR51, PR55, PR99, PR103, and PR124 were genetically similar to the indica group. Information on genetic diversity and grouping of swamp rice based on its subspecies would be potentially be used as a strategy for determining the combination of crosses in improving swamp rice varieties in the future.
