- ItemSISTEM PEMANTAUAN HIDROPONIK MULTILOKASI(2021-12-15) Ekawati, Estiyanti; Effendy, Joshua; Alexander, Erick; Dwiartama, AnggaThe increasing need for food motivated the development of agricultural methods, including the hydroponic method. This method allows researchers to compare the various treatment effects on harvested products, microclimate, and hydroponic nutrients' physical and chemical properties. In this study, an Internet of Things (IoT) system was developed to monitor the condition of two Deep Flow Technique (DFT) hydroponic systems, which operate in separate locations 18 Kms apart. The measurements consisted of the temperature of microclimates, the weather and flow rate of nutrients, and the acidity and conductivity of nutrients. On-line sensors measured these variables, and the data were transmitted to the server using the Message Queuing Transport Telemetry (MQTT) protocol with a Publish-Subscribe method. This system operated over an institutional internet network. All variables were displayed on a web page interface, consisting of instantaneous data dan historical graphs. The duration of data transmission up to the web page is 31-35 seconds. Hence a sampling period of 1 minute was used. Tests showed that the system measurement performance conformed to standard calibrated sensors. Furthermore, the performance was maintained throughout the plant growth cycle. This capability facilitates research into the effects of nutrient and microclimate treatments on plant growth in more than one system at different locations within an internet network.
