dc.description | ABSTRAKBio-etanol adalah cairan biokimia dari proses fermentasi karbohidrat dengan bantuan mikro-organisme, dan dilanjutkan dengan proses distilasi. Upaya pengembangan bio-etanol sudah begitu mendesak, terutama bertujuan mengurangi beban penderitaan masyarakat akibat kenaikan BBM dan pasokan yang tidak menentu pada masyarakat yang tinggal di pulau kecil dan terpencil. Tulisan ini memberikan gambaran tentang bio-etanol yang dapat diproduksi di Maluku. Hasil analisis faktor kekuatan, kelemahan, kesempatan dan ancaman pada pengembangan industri bio-etanol di Maluku, memberikan prospek yang baik. Strategi pengembangan bio-etanol dikelompokan atas beberapa pola skala usaha seperti skala rumah tangga, UMKM, komersial dan pola plasma-inti. Kebijakan Pemda Maluku diperlukan untuk mendukung pembangunan bio-etanol dalam usaha meningkatan pendapatan masyarakat dan penyerapan tenaga kerja.Kata kunci: Metroxylon spp., pengembangan bio-etanol, Maluku. ABSTRACTStrategy of Bio-ethanol Development Base on Sago in MoluccasBio-ethanol is biochemical liquid produced by fermentation of carbohydrate with microorganism and followed by distillation. The development of the bio-ethanol is urgently needed as to help reducing the public burden due to the increasing of oil price and uncertainly oil supply especially for Moluccas society in small island. This paper shows that bio-ethanol can be produced in Moluccas. SWOT analysis results showed that bio-ethanol industry development gave good prospect. Strategy of bio-ethanol development can be recommended by some pattern such as house hold scale, small-micro scale, commercial scale and nucleus-plasm pattern. The regional authority should be convinced about the necessity of supporting bio-ethanol production in order to increasing community income and absorbing labor.Key words: Bio-ethanol development, moluccas. | en-US |
