Prospect of Artificial Seed Technology Development in Indonesia. Arief Vivi Noviati and Ika Roostika. Artificial seed technology is an alternative technology that can be applied for plants that are difficult to be propagated or conserved conventionally. This technology can produce uniform seed/seedling in large scale while maintaining genetic constituent of the genotype. This technology has not been developed in Indonesia. However research that needed to apply this technology has been conducted. Therefore, there is a prospect to develop artificial seed technology in Indonesia, especially for endangered and highly economic plants.en_US
