dc.description.abstractABSTRAK Padi beras merah merupakan salah satu jenis padi yang mengandung nilai gizi yang tinggi dan mempunyai khasiat yang lebih dibanding dengan beras putih. Beras merah termasuk pangan fungsional dan berdasarkan kandungan gizinya. maka padi beras merah sangat baik untuk daerah rawan pangan khususnya masyarakat yang berstatus kurang gizi. Dtharapkan ketersediaan beras merah di pasaran dapat mengurangi masalah gizi yang ada serta meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat Indonesia. Padi beras merah umumnya merupakan varietas lokal yang ditanam pada lahan kering dengan tingkat produktivita s 2-3 ton/ha,umur tanam yang panj ang sekitar 5-6 bulan, dan umumnya tekstur nasinya agak pera sampai pera sehingga-kurang disukai konsumen. Varietas inpari 24 merupakan salah satu varietas yang telah dilepas oleh Badan Litbang pertanian tahun 2012 denganpotensi hasll7,7 ton/ha serta rasa nasi pulen. Hasil kaj ian yang telah dilakukan dibeberapa lokasi, tingkat produktivitas Vari etaslnpari24 berkisar 5,5 - 8,0 ton/ha sefta tahan terhadap berbagai hama dan penyakit. Red rice includes functional food and based on its nutritional content, so red rice is very good for food insecure areas,. especially those who are malnourished. It is expected that the availability of red rice on the market can reduce the existing nutritional problems and improve the health status of the Indonesian people. Red rice paddy is generally a local variety that is planted on the dry land with a productivity level of 2-3 tons/ha, an age of long planting about 5-6 months, and generally the rice texture is rather pera until pera so that consumers are less favored. The inpari 24 vartety is one of the varieties that has been released by the Agricultural Research and DevelopmentAgency in2012 with a result potentialof 7 .7 tons/ha and fluffier rice flavor. The results ofstudies that have been carried out in several locations, the productivity level of Inpari 24 variettes ranges from 5.5 to 8.0 tons/ha and is resistant to various pests and diseases.
