dc.description.abstractABSTRAK Provinsi Riau memiliki lahan pasang surut yang cukup luas yang tersebar di beberapa kabupaten, salah satunya Kabupaten Siak. Permasalahan budidaya padi di kabupaten ini adalah rendahnya produktivitas tanaman padi akibat tanah asam, penggunaan benih yang tidak bersertifikat, tidak ada saluran drainase sekunder dan tersier, sawah dikategorikan sebagai lahan pasang surut tipe C sampai D, dan pemahaman petani tentang sistem budidaya yang terbatas tentang hal tersebut, Sehingga menyebabkan tingkat pendapatan petani rendah. Selain itu, perlu dilakukan peningkatan teknologi budidaya padi, pembuatan saluran drainase dan jalur pertanian serta penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Salah satu upaya peningkatan teknologi adalah dengan memperkenalkan sistem budidaya padi seperti mina padi dengan menggunakan padi varietas unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang performansi beberapa varietas padi dalam sistem budidaya Mina padi. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Muara Kelantan, Kecamatan Sungai Mandau, Kabupaten Siak dari bulan Januari sampai Desember 2017. Ada empat varietas padi yang ditanam dalam sistem budidaya mina padi; Inpari 30, Inpari 33, Inpari 34 dan Inpari 35. Berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan, tinggi tanaman dan jumlah anakan tertinggi terdapat di Inpari 33 (178,4 cm dan 16 batang), Inpari 35 menghasilkan tinggi tanaman 107,3 cm dan jumlah anakan 16 batang, Inpari 34 memberi tinggi tanaman 105,5 cm dan jumlah anakan 13 batang dan Inpari 30 memberi tinggi tanaman 105,1 cm dan jumlah anakan 15 batang. Kesimpulannya, Inpari 33 memberikan kinerja terbaik dalam sistem budidaya Mina Padi. Kata kunci: Penampilan vegetatif, varietas padi, padi mina, lahan pasang surut ABSTRACT Riau Province has large tidal land that is spread in several regencies, one of them is Siak Regency. The problems in rice cultivation in this regency are low productivity of rice crops due to acidic soils, uncertified seed usage, there is no secondary and tertiary drainage channels, rice fields categorized as tidal land type C to D, and limited understanding of farmers about this cultivation system. Thus, causing low levels of farmers' income. In addition, it is necessary to: improving the technology of rice cultivation, making drainage channels and farming paths as well as counselling and training. An effort to improve technology is introducing rice cultivation systems such as mina paddy using superior varieties of rice. This study aimed to get the information about performance several rice varieties in Mina Paddy cultivation system. The study was conducted in Muara Kelantan Village, Sungai Mandau District, Siak Regency from January to December 2017. There were four rice varieties planted in mina paddy cultivation system; Inpari 30, Inpari 33, Inpari 34 and Inpari 35. Based on field observation, the highest plant height and number of tillers was found in Inpari 33 (178.4 cm and 16 tillers), Inpari 35 (107.3 cm and 16 tillers), Inpari 34 (105.5 cm and 13 tillers) and Inpari 30 (105.1 cm and 15 tillers).
