Abstract
Potential yield test of cassava at the dry land area of South Kalimantan. The
objective of the research was to evaluate the yield performance of clones at the dryland
area of South Kalimantan. The research were carried out at farmer's field in Pleihari
and at the experimental farm in Sanjarbaru in the wet season 1988/89 and 1989/90.
Planting material of cassava consisted of 2 released varieties, 2 local clones and 10
promising clones from SORIF. The experiment were arranged in randomized block
design with three replications.
Fertilizers applied were 90 kg N/ha + 90 kg P20s/ha +
60 kg K20/ha.
All P and K were applied at planting time, while N was applied twice, a
half at planting time, and the rest at 3 months after the first application. Plot size was
2,0 x 4,8 m with plant spacing 100 x 80 cm. The results showed that Adira I, Adira IV
varieties and promising clone SIC 369 were produced high yield and can be recommended
in the dryland area of South Kalimantan.
