dc.description Kubis bunga merupakan sayuran sehat yang banyak diminati konsumen. Dalam peningkatan produksi tanaman sayuran, khususnya kubis bunga yang perlu diperhatikan adalah kualitas benih. Oleh karena itu dilakukan kegiatan penelitian untuk menghasilkan benih kubis bunga yang bermutu. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi pupuk Boron yang tepat dan teknik penanaman untuk peningkatan perbenihan kubis bunga. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Berastagi mulai dari bulan Januari sampai Oktober 2014. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial dengan empat ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk Boron (B0 = tanpa pupuk Boron, B1 = 5 kg/ha, B2 = 10 kg/ha, B3 = 15 kg/ha, B4 = 20 kg/ha, B5 = 25 kg/ha). Faktor kedua adalah teknik penanaman (N1 = tanpa naungan, N2 = menggunakan naungan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Boron 15 kg/ha dapat meningkatkan jumlah cabang, jumlah polong, jumlah dan bobot benih per tanaman, serta persentase benih tumbuh per tanaman pada perbenihan kubis bunga. Pemakaian naungan dapat meningkatkan jumlah tangkai, jumlah polong, jumlah dan bobot benih per tanaman pada perbenihan kubis bunga.KeywordsBrassica oleracea var. The yield of cauliflower is very much effected by the seedling quality. This justifies the importance of studying how to produce a good quality of cauliflower seedling. The objective of the study was to determine the exact concentration of Boron fertilizer and to identify the most appropriate planting technique in producing cauliflower seedlings. The study was conducted in Berastagi Experimental Garden from January to October 2014. A randomized complete block design (RBD) was used with four replications. The first factor was the dose of Boron fertilizer (B0 = without Boron fertilizer, B1 = 5 kg / ha, B2 = 10 kg / ha, B3 = 15 kg / ha, B4 = 20 kg / ha, B5 = 25 kg/ha). The second factor was planting techniques (N1 = without shade, N2 = with shade). The results suggest that the use of 15 kg/ha Boron increases the number of branches, number of pods, number of seeds and seed weight per plant, as well as percentage of seed emergence per plant. The use of shade also increases the number of branchs, number of pods, number of seeds, and seed weight per plant. en-US
