Price and supply fluctuations of chicken eggs are common phenomenon which causes problems for farmers when prices fall and for consumers when prices are high.  This study aimed to analyze problems of eggs price fluctuation and identify its causative problems, conducted during September until November 2018.  Data collection was done by interviewing officers from related agencies, breeders, associations and egg traders in West Java Province. Price fluctuations was estimated by the coefficient of variation. Factors that influence eggs price fluctuations was analyzed descriptively. Research results showed that price of eggs for the last five years had increased continuesly. The avarage price of eggs in 2018 was higher compared to the previous four years with high fluctuations. High egg prices in production centers pushed its prices at the main consumers in Jakarta. The rise in feed and DOC prices, and  decrease in egg production due to disease attacks caused the increase in eggs prices. On  the other hand, demand for chicken eggs increased during the National Religious Holidays, school holidays, and the foot ball world cup shows, that pushed further the eggs prices up. This study suggests that biosecurity implementation, hygiene of chicken cage, and response to disease attack should be improved. Prohibition of AGP (Antibiotic Growth Promoters) should be followed by farmers with the improvement in good farming practices, such as reducing cage density. The policy of stopping corn imports totally has hampered the growth of the livestock industry, which has a negative impact on egg production and supply.
