Description
Effect of coconut milk solution on suppreeing the growth of rhizome shoot of ginger.An experiment of coconut milk as a source of phenolic regolator to suppress the growth of rhizome shoots of ginger has been done for the purpose of storing the ginger. The experiment was done on the sand dikes, in a randomized block design with three replications. The ginger rhizomes were soaked into the solution of coconut milk in top water with the concentration of 0% (Control), 10%, 25%, and 40% for 24 hours. The result showed that the amount of shoots and leaves per rhizome, the percentage and speed growth of shoots dropped significantly to 40%, 17%, 21%, 27%, and 13% respectively compared with the control.
