Description
Bud culture of angelica acutiloba though tissue culture techniques.Tissue culture experiments to propagate angelica acutiloba were carried out in the laboratory of Bogor Rest Ints for Spice and Medicinal Crops, Bogor.Result showed that medium without growth regulator slowly induced the growth of shoot explants of 0.3 – 0.6 mm long. On the other hand, the explants grew well and fast in combined medium of IAA (2.0 mg/I) + BAP (0.5 mg/I) + Kinetin (0.5 mg/I) + GA3 (1.0 mg/I) and vitamins from B group, where rooting occurred 3 weeks after planting.This promising technique is expected to contribute to the supply of uniform high yielding varieties of angelica acutiloba having superior characters inherited from their mother plants.
