EnglishOne of the ways to evaluate farm level production process is by conducting farm efficiency analysis. The study is an efficiency analysis on coffee smallholders in Lampung for the 1984/85 season. Two main factors are considered: farm size and geographical location. It was found that there is similarity in the relative efficiency between small scale farms and the larger one, either in terms of economic, price, and technical efficiencies. There is also no significant difference between farms in the lowland and in the upland areas. The evidence is that the upland areas are mostly remote areas, while the lowland farms are more open to their surroundings.IndonesianSalah satu cara untuk menilai keberhasilan proses produksi usahatani adalah dengan melalui penilaian efisiensi usahatani. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui perbedaan efisiensi relatif berdasarkan perbedaan luas usahatani dan perbedaan lokasi geografi terhadap usahatani kopi rakyat di Lampung pada musim kopi 1984/1985. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesamaan efisiensi relatif, baik efisiensi ekonomi, harga maupun teknik relatif antara usahatani kopi berlahan sempit dengan usahatani kopi berlahan luas dan antara usahatani kopi di dataran tinggi yang relatif terpencil dengan usahatani kopi di dataran rendah yang relatif terbuka.
