Abstract
South Sumatera has one the largest swamp land area for paddy cultivation where also become a national source priority of rice production.Since swamp land has potential problem risk of water issues where most of the land tends to be flat, agriculture which are developed must follow characteristic of weather anomaly nowadays In general, paddy cultivation in swamp land has a problem in water management where in rainy season, flood frequently cause disadvantage in paddy agriculture sector. Flood is one of condition which will bring a sensitive issue for rice production where swamp lands are controlled for Cropping Index (CI) 300. In this study flood analysis spatial are importantly needed as base planning for protecting and developing of agriculture areain order to help decision making in managing agriculture land. This study consists of 1) Probable rainfall analysis using Log Normal, Gumbel I, Gumbel II, and Log Pearson; 2) Probable flood discharge analysis using unit synthetic hydrographHSS ITB I, Nakayashu, and SCS-Synder; 3) Hydrodynamic modelling 2D HEC-RAS; 4) Spatial Analysis; 5) Recommendation. Simulation results spatial inundation map based on shows with flood discharge25years return period, about in paddy swamp land area. 22% of total area inundated >2 m, this describes which Muara Telang Sub-District has moderate vulnerability index from flood. Recommendation in some aspects are divided into structural and non-structural. iIn structural aspect including rehabilitation of embankment where non-structural aspect close to mitigation and hazard awareness.
