Abstract
Description
Effect of hydrolisate protein on the growth and yield of patchouli cuttings Effects of hydrolisate protein on the growth and yield of patchouli cuttings were studied at the Nagasari Experimental Garden, Cipanas, West Java from January to August 1989. The experiment was arranged factorially in a randomized block design with three replicates. The first factor was kind of cuttings i.e top, middle and basal cuttings with 3 internodes. The second factor was hydrolisate protein concentrations i.e 0, 2.5, 5.0 and 7.5 ml/l. The result showed that kind of patchouli cuttings did not give significant effect on the growth and yield, but there was indication that the treatment of middle cuttings sprayed by 2.5 ml/l hydrolisate protein gave better result on the growth and plant biomass compared to untreated.
