Abstract
This study was designed as a preliminary survey to find the perception of office rs of the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia about their need of training of scientific writing and their preference of the type of the training. Quantitative approach was chosen in this study with descriptive statistic method and inferential statistic to summarize the finding of the study. Data to be examined is derived from questionaire using google form that is spread over ten days during 2nd February 2021 until 12th February 2021 within social med ia account (facebook and whatsapp). There are 204 (two hundred and four) respondents participating to the quetionaire while simple random sampling technique is used due to the limitation of time and fund. The results suggest that 82,81% of the respondents whose duty as functional officer tell that they need to be trained in scientific writing subject, while 17,19% of them do not need the training. Moreover, the study found that the functional officers preferred to participate in scientific writing training using conventional training method or blended learning, there are 39% respondents for both categories. On the other hand, there are only 13% and 9% of respondents choose webinar and e -learning as their preferable type of training, respectively
